Chaos In Oil Mill Market, Port Harcourt As Government Officials Destroys Traders Wares (Video + Photos)

Oil Mill market Port-Harcourt is located in Obio-Akpor Local Government area in rivers state. The market is one of the major market in Port-Harcourt.

Idomadiva blog gathered that Obio-Akpor local government has tried to create a free flow of traffic in that Oil Mill area but traders has continue to become nuisance, always blocking the flow of traffic with their wares that they display for sale.

Idomadiva blog was told the location of the market has also put the lives of traders selling at the market at great risk, mainly the weekly market day, which holds every Wednesday, draws traders from different parts of Rivers State and outside the state like traders from Aba, Onitsha, Owerri, Akwa Ibom and Umuahia also visit the market to buy and sell. The chaotic traffic gridlock the market causes every Wednesday along the Aba/Port-Harcourt Road gives traffic wardens sleepless night.

This prompt the State Government to attend to the issue, so as to create free flow of traffic in that area and other parts of rivers state with the aim to make the state better. The state government creates a task force which goes about destroying traders wares and to the point of arresting some of the stubborn ones
